VILLA VERONICA
Where dreams come true

The island exists. It sometimes appears from afar.
[…] It is even marked on the ancient charts of privateers.
[…] It is the fairy island that glides over the seas;
Sometimes sailors see it nearby….
They lavish the blessed shore with their prores:
Some palm trees soar among flowers never seen before,
The divine forest smells thick and alive,
Cardamom tears, gum trees ooze…
It announces itself with perfume, like a courtesan,
the Unfound Island… But as the pilgrim advances,
it quickly vanishes as a vain appearance,
tinted with the blue color of distance ….

Description

Villa Veronica overlooks one of the most enchanting places in the world: Baie Lazare beach, on the island of Mahé. A long strip of white sand lapped by crystal clear waters, a pure and genuine beauty that leaves everyone speechless. The eco-chic surroundings of the villa will allow you to live in complete comfort and harmony with nature, immersed in a postcard-perfect landscape.
Designed and built with a contemporary aesthetic vision to meet the specific needs and refined tastes of today, the villa embodies casual luxury with high quality finishes and rich textures.

The project aims to ideally create a bridge between the pre-existing ancient architecture and the new one. Two buildings already present in the area, both of which are maintained and connected through the construction of new guest homes and a covered walkway that unites the structures and is set up as a historical gallery.

The new houses, made with simple shapes and neutral colors, were placed at the back of the complex, with the windows facing outward so as not to disturb the privacy of each individual guest and allow them to enjoy the splendid surrounding landscape.
The two pre-existing buildings are renovated and used for service, reception, wine bar, internal tasting and catering functions.

The actual tasting trail is set up in the outdoor space in front of the buildings, inspired by the shape of a bunch of grapes and a berry, with large circles and spirals that create trails, a play area, water games, relaxation areas and tasting points dedicated to the company’s four main wines, to which a fifth is added dedicated to extra virgin olive oil.

The surrounding space and environment transform into a complete sensory experience, through colors, essences and scents: the gaze embraces the Umbrian countryside, savoring its peace and the historical references that it transmits.

Set against a backdrop of lush emerald green mountains, the property boasts extraordinary views of the turquoise waters of the ocean and the porcelain sands of the bay and nearby islands. To experience the refreshing luxury of Villa Veronica is a singular experience, a dream come true.

ENTRANCE AND LIFT

The main entrance to the villa consists of a wide staircase in bush-hammered white marble that leads directly to the lobby. The main attraction of the first space is undoubtedly the circular panoramic elevator, with 360-degree glass walls, a functional solution to provide access to the other floors and at the same time a stylistic choice of high quality design. Here we have the central staircase, surrounded by large glass windows, the real focus of the project, identified as the central point around which all the rooms of the villa are fanned out.

On each floor, a similar arrangement is proposed for the lobby, characterized by marble cladding and steel handrails, so as to allow total enjoyment of the transparent elevator and offer a coordinated scenic rendering on all levels.

GYM

A fitness and wellness area is located on the ground floor; it is a large rectangular room with slat finishing characterized by a large window. The facilities include: a Sasha Jacuzzi that can be used as a sauna, sensory shower and hammam separately or in combination; a relaxation area with sound system; and an equipped area. A locker room area accompanied by a smoothie bar area and herbal tea room complete the facilities.

A series of accessory and service rooms are also located on this level. They include: a large laundry and ironing room; a series of utility rooms for co-generation systems, white tanks and accumulators to ensure the energy self-sufficiency of the structure; a garage area divided into two areas that can accommodate up to six cars; and an understair space that can be used as a wine cellar.

INDOOR OPEN SPACE

The first floor has a spacious living area consisting of a single open space. The long side facing the sea has a large continuous window that dialogues with the outside and can be opened completely, also integrating the outdoor space and blurring the boundary between indoor and outdoor.
The flooring is a unique stylistic feature of the environment, made up of long bridge deck laid marble slabs, spaced at varying intervals, with courses of floral mosaic in colored marble on a white background. A refined solution that gives continuity to the large space and grants a fine and refined aesthetic.
The indoor living area features a central dining area with a large briarwood table and metal base, matching small armchairs, and two minimalist sideboards placed on either side of the column next to the table. On either side of the dining area is the kitchen with a dedicated bar area on one side and the living area on the other. The kitchen has an entire wall of appliances with steel finishes and marble wall tiles in darker shades that contrast with the flooring. Two matching peninsulas include the breakfast counter and bar area.
On the other side, the living area is furnished with a large two-sided sofa with a single seat added for a total of about eight seats. This is the indoor TV and conversation area. A low cabinet supports a latest-generation TV with a large curved screen.

OUTDOOR OPEN SPACE

HOME THEATER ROOM

Immediately to the left of the entrance hall on the first floor we have a room dedicated to entertainment: a home theater room with a special coconut fiber carpet. The room has a large screen and eight pull-out seats with extra-wide armchairs arranged on two levels.

On the first floor there is also a guest room with private bathroom, a pantry that serves the kitchen and a bathroom. Attention to detail is not neglected in the finishes of the bathrooms, which are made of light-colored marble.

MASTER SUITE

On the second floor, the sleeping area and the pool area coexist. The two areas are decoupled by the hall separating the rooms from the pool area, allowing the use of the common areas for all guests without compromising the privacy of the sleeping area. There are three guest rooms with en-suite bathrooms, each with different shades of marble. As varied as the bathroom furnishings are, the modern taste for detail and the search for design materials of certified quality are a common thread in all the rooms.

The master suite is the true heart of the villa. Large in size and parquet floored, it has both man and woman walk-in closets and a private sitting area, in addition to the bed and desk area, of course.
This room has every comfort imaginable, including an en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower, double sinks and a screened-in vanity area, but most importantly, it enjoys exclusive access to a private terrace with Jacuzzi and relaxation area.

POOL

The pool area is located on its own terrace, directly accessible from the lobby. In addition to the 7-meter counter-current swimming pool, there is a snack bar area and lounge chairs for sunbathing.
Optional features of the property also include solar thermal and photovoltaic systems installed on the roof of the house, a beneficial solution from many points of view. The panels placed on the roof do not visually affect the aesthetics of the building, but manage to ensure its total energy self-sufficiency.
